Digital Transgender Archive
"The Two-Spirit Archives at the University of Winnipeg was established in 2019 to recognize, centre, document, and preserve the legacy of Two-Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQQIA+ people. By preserving and providing access to these historic documents, the University of Winnipeg Archives hopes to enhance Two-Spirit representation in our culture and heritage in a way that is community-driven and respects Indigenous traditions and protocols. In this way, the Archives can contribute to the reclamation and resurgence of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer identities within pre-colonial systems of kinship and relationality."
